Judi Miller named Outstanding St. Lucie Co. Woman of Distinction -
Civic-Professional Woman of the Year 2002!
"Dr. Judi Miller is a well-known advocate for the children of St.
Lucie County and should be named this years woman of distinction. Judi's qualifications are numerous. First, she
is the Executive Director of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of St. Lucie County. As the leader of that organization, she
has brought attention and funding to children in St. Lucie County who need a little something more. She also wrote for
and received a grant to bring the "Jump into Literacy" program to first grade students in St. Lucie County Schools who need
a bit more help with reading to ensure their future academic success.
As a member of the St. Lcuie County School Board, she continues
her advocacy for chidlren through the school district. She spends endless hours working for legislation that will bring
additional funding to St. Lucie County Schools to better pay our teachers and support our students. She is a woman of
